Welcome to Greenville Aviation, I'm Todd.  I've been fascinated with aviation since the first version of Microsoft Flight Simulator hit the market.  My brother and I flew endlessly around Chicago's pre-eight bit skyline on MSFS.  We couldn't get enough.  Fast forward to 2021, I decided to start flight training as a hobby in Midland, TX, where gusty, crosswind landings are a daily occurrence.  During my training I became an absolute aviation nerd.  In 2023, I earned my private pilot license and flew around West Texas and New Mexico for fun for the next several months.

After 25 years as administrator in college athletics across three schools, my CFI encouraged me to pursue my budding passion for aviation as an encore career.  In the summer of 2024, I enrolled at Epic Flight Academy, a 141 school, in New Smyrna Beach, FL.  Over the next aviation immersive, eight months I earned my instrument rating and commercial certificate. 

After finishing at Epic I wanted to move closer to my family.  My mom lives in East Tennessee and my brother lives in Charleston, SC, so I split the difference and moved to Greenville.  I visited a few different flight schools when I arrived in Greenville, but Greenville Aviation immediately felt like home.  I started training for my CFI certificate with Sam White and flew with some of the other familiar faces around Greenville Aviation (I'm looking at you Shaun, Ron and Eroll...).  I earned my CFI certificate in July and am so very fortunate to continue to fly with Greenville Aviation as a CFI!
